Y'all know how I wanted to build a bigger coop. I fell in love with the "saltbox Amish style". Snagging one from a local person who just wants it gone for a killer deal! I go pick her up Saturday! Tons more room and more room for some more chickens!
I appreciate all the input! I think I would like to put a regular window in and maybe a hardware cloth vent. I can't decide on nest boxes and if I want it in the run or not. They do free range when we are home.
Help me decide what plan I want to go with:

I scored a 10'x-10'x6' dog kennel from. A friend for $20! It needs some repairs in the fencing, as soon as it's not freezing and 50mph winds I will be working on it. Now I'm working on trying to decide how to build a coop and what design I want. I think I want something 8'x5''x6'. Can't decide...
Aww your little one picks chickens too.
My daughters are obsessed as much as I am. I think I'll just wait. We are building a new coop and I think I'll grab a silkie from someone then. Maybe 2. Lol
There's a coop I think the perfect size I need listed locally for $25!!!!! I'm waiting on measurements but I think I'll be getting it. Which means more chickens
So I'm devising a new pallet coop plan to add to my existing coop so I can get more chickens!! I want to raise some chicks and only live 1hr from Meyer Hatchery. Breeds I want:
Brahma
Buckeye
Leghorn
Jersey giant
Easter egger (have one want another)
Buff or Blue silkie
French Copper Maran
Not...
I'm in North Central Ohio and searching for someone to buy a buff or blue silkie pullet, a brahma, and a salmon favorelle pullet/cockerel. Is there anyone I could buy from?
Hey all! I'm in Richland county :) new chicken mama. I have 3 chicks (2 tetra brown and 1 leghorn), and soon to be 7 hens (1yr olds) I'm buying from a friend once the husband is finished staining my coop. Chicks are tsc clearance straight run specials but are so fun! They're 3 weeks old
