that cracked me up.. heh.. yes, the dry bean mix from the store, i just love all the beans.. i find that when the beans soak for a long time, and then boil for a long time, they seem to lose their gas factor.. also, the more beans you eat, the less they bother you.. just gotta feed the hubby...
home made ham & 16 bean soup.. i sautee the meat, onions, celery & carrots while the soaked beans boil a little longer in the pot.. this soup always tastes better after sitting..
eggplant, mushroom, onioin, garlic pizza with puttanesca sauce.. they were pretty darn good.. tho the flavours mellowed out when cooked.. even the strong sauce mellowed out.. so it definitely needed some hot pepper flake and a sprinkle of sea salt.. next time i will add more sauce..

i made this concoction the other night.. i did diced up eggplant, mushrooms and onion and sauteed it in a cast iron skillet in some butter and olive oil.. added some squeeze garlic to the pan and just ate this with a sprinkle of puttanesca sauce.. the hubby wants me to put some of this on a pizza..
