    :love Beautiful egg! You can leave feathers with DLM. I only have 4 BOs in their enclosure 8 x 12, picked them up cause when the wind blows, it's all over.

    Yup, it seems to last "forever", they may not all molt at the same time. You can also feed them a little extra protein as a treat; mealworms, tuna, scrambled/boiled eggs, etc.... What are you feeding them? You should also check for mites & lice.

    Agree, sounds like Jr Molt the "real" one won't happen until next year (est 18mo). You can check for mites at night when it's dark & they're roosting. Run your hand on/under the roost, you'll feel them crawling on your hand. If it's lice you'll see them on the feather shafts.
