Bird lover here in Rydal GA!
Had to stop feeding our wild birds due to a black bear that loved black oil sunflower seed, dadgummit!
Still enjoying the RIR hens and a pair of black banty Cochins.
Does anyone have any experience with Stromberg's Hatchery?
Would prefer to buy from an individual, but a fella has RIR hens that are 8 weeks old from Strombergs and I am thinking that will be the best bet this time of year.

I will get them set up with a heat lamp and go from there.
Found some babies in Blairsville from Market Bulletin...seems to be a nice fella.
I am looking at getting some 4 week old RIR chicks this weekend.
Do I need to have them under a heat lamp with the cold coming in?
I am thinking of waiting a couple more weeks to get them so they won't need the extra heat.

We are in Rydal and figured someone closer to Cave Springs would be better especially as we are seasonally busy with a plant business and would have a tough time with that in the spring.
