Not by the morning. I have been filling both chambers up to get 45%-50% I add water everyday to the reservoirs, usually in the morning when I notice it so low. House is set at 72 degrees and is well insulated and very constant so not quite sure why this happens.
I had a realllly badly batch of scrambled shipped eggs and since I paid so much for them I put them in the nurture 360 incubator in small egg carton cups (so the air cell was sitting upright) and today I hatched out two babies- so I'm still impressed. I will note that I am doing staggered...
I just finished my first hatch using this incubator and I think it turned out really well. 7 shipped eggs all developed, 6 made it to lockdown, 5 hatched.
I candled last night and all 6 eggs had signs of life at day 4 so I'm very excited now. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I think this incubator is a great deal for beginners and someone not wanting to spend a lot of money. I had styrofoam ones prior to this and they were such a pain to regulate...
I think this would be difficult to do. I'd let them sit in an egg carton for 24 hours when you receive them with the fat side up at room temperature so that the air cells can rest. At least that is what I did.
My humidity was matching my inside hygrometer, but the temp was off a degree. Strangely now the temperature is matching the inside thermometer, but the humidity has lowered! Now I've adjusted it back to 99.5 and I'm hoping I didn't fry my eggs by increasing the temp. This is why I try to use a...
So far it's been working really well. The humidity is spot on. I think the temperature is about a degree too low due to where the temperature gauge hangs down. I'm hatching d'uccles and silkie eggs so I'm actually raising it about a degree and a half do that it's 99.5 in center of the egg. We...
