I haven’t seen this problem. How old is it?

Right? There are indentations on the top of this one, but my hands aren't big enough to grasp across the top like that. And I'd drop it for sure. I was sticking a fingernail in the joint where the lid meets the base. Your idea has saved a few chipped fingernails.

It was your brilliant idea! You did it for the incuview though, right?? The 360 isn’t actually round. It’s a rounded square. Lol. It works great, I was so happy to find that article tip.

Something else I discovered that might be helpful to some folks here. I found it related to another incubator, but works great for this one. Take a piece of wide packing tape (maybe 5” long), fold part of it back onto itself, tape the sticky end inside the lid, leaving the folded end hanging...

If the wells are full, I really think you should be fine, no matter what the number on top is showing. I always have my vent wide open. I take the turner out and add a piece of rubber shelf liner. (The kind with wider grid seems better than the tighter weave). The eggs roll a little less...

You can get fairly inexpensive battery backups these days. Google UPS backup (uninterruptible power supply). You plug into the wall and it has an onboard battery that stays charged, and will run on battery power if your electric goes out...

Did you check the day count after the reset? It counts down, so it knows when to stop turning. It won’t turn on days 3,2,1,0.

In WV, it could be 30 degrees. :lau Excellent point!

Their customer service has been very good, so they should help you. If you need anything in particular, I could take pics for you. (if I can find mine, lol)

It should turn once an hour. But you may have to do a full reset. See the quote above. :)

Yea looks like you have to call them for that.

Have you tried a reset? I think it's the plus and minus buttons together for a few seconds. (it's in this thread somewhere, if those aren't the right buttons)

I have 2 Octagon 20s, also the auto door, and a Spot Check thermometer. I have a Mini on its way to me from a friend that doesn't need it. I do love Brinsea products, but yes, their customer service sucks, and I'll never buy another product from them for that reason. My Spot Check only works...

I think I'd try making some kind of insert, like maybe a toilet paper roll cut about half an inch, or something similar, wedge a couple into each slot to put the smaller eggs in. Might help them roll properly, as long as it doesn't keep the existing tray from turning properly.

No, the foam is a fix for humidity shorting out the electronics. You will have to use something else for the bottom if you want. Rubber shelf liner, plastic mesh, or the like. Nothing is really necessary, the unit is usable as it is, so they won't provide that.
