How is she doing today? I hope the vent is not protruding as much and she is able to poop without your assistance.
Is the abdomen still a dark color?
The tail will develop as the chick grows. This is a stock photo of BO's from MPC. Note, they look rumpless the first few weeks, all mine have too.
O.K. Now it's a bit easier to see the leg. It could be splayed out a bit. Try hobbling your chick to see if that help. Since it had trouble hatching and legs seemed to be in the wrong position, you may not be able to correct it, but you can try.
I would try getting vitamins into her...
How warm are you keeping the chick?
I agree, photos of the legs will be helpful. In your other photos, I see no splay or spraddle leg.
Is the chick able to lay down at all? Were you able to get any fluids into her?
I'm very sorry:hugs
Sometimes they fail to thrive, no matter what we try to do. It's sad, but does happen when we hatch chicks.
The best you can do is keep her warm, see if she will take any fluids. If you feel like she is suffering, then it's an act of kindness to put her out of her misery.
Where are you keeping your little one, does she have heat? How warm?
Gently soak the vent in a warm epsom salts solution, giving her a cleanup. Apply a little anti-inflammatory ointment, hemorrhoid cream or coconut oil to the vent. This may help with the swelling. Try to keep your baby...
