Hopefully everything stays event free for a long time.
I really hope this was just a freak accident type thing.
I wouldn't wish Marek's on my worst enemy.
:fl
I am one that would not want to constantly be having to nurse sick ones and be having to deal with birds dying all the time. I would rather just start over.
You may think differently...I'm just sharing my opinion.
Take no offense please.
No...I have ordered as few as 6 from them in the past.
If I were you I would wait a while...a good few months before adding any new birds to your flock. I think it would be wise to wait and see if any other birds get ill and if one does I would for sure send it for a necropsy to know for sure...
That was sweet. Sweet Ella will be fine...you don't worry about her too much. Kids are tougher than we think.
For the love of money...please order chicks from Ideal next time.
They arrive within 12 hours of hatching.

Play it day by day.
:barnie Hugs to you girl...you are having a tough time.
Need an extra pair of hand let me know.
I am down the street...literally.
Hopefully the vacation helps EVERYTHING!
I don't know if you remember me saying that knowing now what I have learned about chickens I would never step foot on the property where you bought yours from.
This is one of the reasons.
Thinking outside the box here.
Could see possibly be suffering from coccidiosis or worms that are messing up her gut/intestines which is causing the undigested food ...which could be leading to a vitamin deficiency...which is causing the leg issues?
Unfortunately the Mareks vaccine doesn't prevent the disease. She may be showing symptoms of the disease.
Has she started laying yet? Could she possible have an egg stuck?
