I did not need to. In the description it tells what htz the device has a range of. So i just looked those up and played them. I also looked at the htz at other devices and used those htz.
After finding out about their ears closing up a bit I even wonder now what they can hear when they are crowing.
My hunt is over concerning an antibiotic barking device to stop a rooster from crowing. In a nut shell It did work to disrupt a crow. But I made some interesting observations and learned more about roosters in general.
To start the study I brought the roosters inside, kept them in a kiddy pool...
Our roosters are kept are in another coop away from the ladies at the other end of yard. But they do free range together. We do this because our boys are trying to mount and the girls want nothing to do with them. When outside during the DAY the girls can get away from the boys and the roosters...
Found this "How Well Do Dogs and Other Animals Hear?"
https://www.lsu.edu/deafness/HearingRange.html
So I would need to find something that gives off 125 htz anytime the rooster would crow. Anything lower then that the roosters would not be able to hear.
I have youtube set up the remote...
So I had to look up "hoods that falconers use to calm their birds" because I had know idea what it was. OMG that would be so funny looking. I would have to make or find one that has a hole on top to put their crests through. Thank you for the suggestion :)
My boys just had a trim last week as...
I saw the money back guarantee I just wanted to see if someone else might have tried one and see which one they bought. It seems that the devices admit different frequencies depending on the brand. And now that Amazon is blocking and closing accounts from too many refunds I want to do as much...

Ya I know Im going to get mix reviews. I tried the no crow collar and that was a joke, but will try another brand. Tried the lights off for a while, they still crowed, tried a night light, and they still crowed. We do not mind it but our town does (noise ordinance even though a dogs bark is...
Has anyone tried to use an anti barking device made for dogs (that hangs on trees or in this case the coop) to help keep their rooster from crowing in the middle of the night and early in the morning?
I looked into it and a dogs bark and a roosters crow are close to the same htz and even the...
