All good I think I found the problem.my 2 year old son might of accidentally thrown something in the brooder the other day.and hit one of the quails. Cos I noticed one side of its back joint to its leg looks bigger than the other. So could be bruised or broken
Well got my game bird starter crumble this morning.28% protein. I've wet a little bit made it all mushy and got my sick baby that can't walk.and stuck its beak in the mush and the juices. And it ate and drank abit of it. Then put it back under the heat pad I hope he gets stronger.ill do the same...
All good I've got another 24 hatching out in next couple days.but I hope the little fella gets better once I feed it some of the new starter crumble tommorow.
It's 3days old today.its on chick crumble grinded down small. But I'm getter the propped game bird starter on my local barge boat tommorow.which has 28% protein the right crumble for them. So should be good. The chick starter crumble is 23% protein. Yeah nah can't get any vitamins and stuff here...
I was told from the breeder I got the eggs of to give slices of cucumber.its legs have literally stopped walking. It can move them.just can't stand up. I'll check it's but for poo. But could it be anything else. Is this a common thing for quails.
