    Leakage is pretty much red plumage in the wing bars, and possibly hackles (I think?). Although I'm not sure if that occurs in pullets. Black Sex Link, maybe? As far as I know, Marans only have pink or white foot bottoms. A little confused at this point, and would love for some of the experts...

    Thank you for the picture! :) White could indicate Marans. You say there is copper plumage here and there on pretty Marian....is there any concentrated in the hackle area? ~Alex

    You're more than welcome. :) I'm here to help in any way I can. There's definitely a possibility that she's still a Marans, just not of Cuckoo variety. Keep in mind that while most Marans are feather-legged, not all share this feature. Are the bottoms of her feet pink? ~Alex
