    The drake is blue and the duck is a silver with the chocolate gene. I like both but the hen is a very pretty buff color.

    Our muscovey hen brings them off the nest and runs with the other muscovies, other ducks, geese, turkeys, and chickens. There have been no problems with the ducklings. We provide unmedicated chick starter for the ducklings.

    When i was young we lost some that were new adults to us from flying away. They were not given enough time to learn where their new home was. Now new adult arrivals get a wing clipped and penned for a few weeks. They are usually fine after that.

    The color genetics link listed doesn't give lilac as a color. I am thinking probably same colors being called different colors by different people.
