    Sean I know what I'd do at this point. But trying to exercise restraint. I know our expert thatchers are on the way home from work. As long as the duck can breath, it can wait for the experts. If you have coconut oil, put it in a small dish on top of the bator to melt.

    Ok. I may get yelled at by the experts, but I cant stand it anymore. Remove a small piece of shell from the pip area and ensure it's breathing.

    Ok... My inexperience... I'm screaming to remove shell from the pip to provide air. But if you do it too early you risk shrink wrapping. I'm not there and can't hear or see and it's driving me nuts.

    The experts I called for are driving home from work. If you sense it stopping or getting weak let me know. As it might be time for an intervention. There's only so much air in that egg util it get's a good external pip.

    Hi and welcome to at BYC :frow We're so happy you decided to join us:ya It's not unusual to have an early starter. It's also not unusual for them to take up to 24-48 hour break between pip and zip. Just keep an eye on it and as long as it's breathing let it take it's time. Best of luck on...
