Hello. First time with eggs. He/she pipped. Need some advice

Ok... My inexperience... I'm screaming to remove shell from the pip to provide air. But if you do it too early you risk shrink wrapping. I'm not there and can't hear or see and it's driving me nuts.

Thats exactly what I want to do is just remove a tiny piece of shell thats almost off. But shrink wrap is exactly what I dont want to happen. Or bleed to death

Ok. I may get yelled at by the experts, but I cant stand it anymore. Remove a small piece of shell from the pip area and ensure it's breathing.

Candled him again.. Still breathing still tapping. I chirped at him. I heard a nice healthy peep back. Looks like heavy breathing. Gonna give him a few more mins

I would do as @rjohns39 has said, put back into the incubator and wait, 'sit on your hands' and let the chick do the rest. Ducklings will rest 12 to 24 hours after pipping, so you will have to just wait and see...if it hasn't progressed after that time then an intervention may be needed.

I wouldn't recommend misting, that can cause the chick to become chilled. Just make sure your humidity has returned to where it should be, and not open the bator so much.
