    The open mouth breathing could mean that something is stuck in between the nostrils and the choanal slit, but it could also be a respiratory infection.

    The nose goes the sinus cavity, the sinus cavity goes to the choanal slit. When the duck's mouth is closed, the choanal slit fits snuggly against the glottis (entrance to trachea) and the duck breathes. (Ignore the technical numbers and text, just look at the arrow)

    If it's just water in the nose it should be able to shake it out. Check it nose and see if you can see any food stuck in there.

    I don't want to scare you, but the clicking, open mouth breathing, and mucus can be a sign of a respiratory infection, so I would not wait.

    Open mouth breathing, sneezing, mucus, noise while breathing, none of this is normal. You could try a different waterer and see if that helps. :idunno

    With mucus coming out of the nose and it making a sound while breathing, I don't think I would bathe it.
