    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

My silkies are about 8 weeks old now and I definitely didn't realize how hard it be to wait to figure out if I have boys or girls 😂 When I got my silkies I also got 4 EE's (which I lucked out and all appear to be girls) and two productions red hens so as of now, I have all pullet. Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Thanks for the info. I'm slowly learning all about these cuties. They are full of personality already and I have no roosters yet so even if "big hairdo" is a cockerel it will be staying. Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Thank you. First time having silkies and I was like this is the only one with this huge crest and my favorite I'm just positive that means it will be a cockerel. At least I don't have to worry about that being a early indication.

    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

I hope so. Fingers crossed for mostly girls. I have no roosters at all now though so I wouldn't mind one either. I do have some friends that are willing to take a silkie rooster off my hands if I have to many so at least there's that.

    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

I will happily share pictures. I have some Easter egger chicks and it's crazy how much bigger they are then the silkies and they are all so close in age. They are in a smaller/baby run for now till they are a bit bigger then they will get to enjoy being free range babies.

    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Hi everyone I'm new to chickens but I have always wanted silkies and for mother's day my husband got me 5 white cotton balls as my kids call them. I have read it takes a while to be able to sex silkies. They were born around Easter the lady told me so looking at about 5 weeks old. My question is...
