Yes. Meats and hard cheeses are fine. Breads, taters and even many squash are very high in sugars, starches and carbs in general.
flour alternatives (like those for gluten free) are far higher in carbs than regular white flour.

No. Sadly I am diabetic and beans, lentils, rice, potatoes and so many other things have way to many carbs to be on my list.
I think the vegan onion gravy would cure any dryness. :D
