I think one of the large heated dog bowls would work for you. It should hold.enough water for 20 chickens. I have 13 and they don't drink a whole bowl. It's a very sturdy bowl. You can use an extension cord with them, I do. Feed stores should carry or go online. I think it would be your solution.

Have you tried a heated dog bowl? That is what I use. Can you put it inside the coop or up close to it?
