I can relate to this. :hugsThe long covid part. I wasn't that sick when I had it although I did spend a couple days in the hospital. And mine was digestive, not respiratory. Life goes on.
It takes a while for the "jabs" to become effective, to provide protection. They're neither magical nor instantaneous. Usually take a couple weeks to provide protection, I believe.

It certainly has not vanished. Eight people I know well have had it in the last month or currently have it. It's still one of the top five causes of death in the U.S.
