Hope you’ll get some ideas there. Bless her heart hopefully the warm water therapy will really help her I’d def use the b complex also it is so good for those leg muscles
Yes put some thing on it. Little stinkers seem to like to nibble those new feathers coming in. You could also try some Blu Kote on it if they keep it up. It will make the feathers purple and might distract. It works great on chickens. Just beware it stains anything it touches.
Before putting her in with them cold turkey I'd let them all meet and greet on neutral territory even bath time might work. Even at the age they are they can view her and an outsider.
If its warm outside that may even be better make temp fencing and put the ones together inside or her inside...
They sure are precious even wet ❤ Reason I asked if they could see each other is they may not accept her if they don’t know her. So you may have to do meet an greet for a few days.
Look how much she’s grown up. I hope once the the cast comes off she’ll be good as new. Warm water therapy is one way to get that leg strengthen. Thanks for the update.
I think it’s awesome you helped this little one have a great chance at a normal life. I look forward to seeing the little one up an about! Please keep us updated on how it’s doing. ❤
Bless it’s heart! So the vet thinks this will take care of it? How long will the leg be like that? And I guess PT is after the cast comes off. Sweet little thing :love
I cheated an bought shoes but it was after mine got older and had bumble foot. Soaking in nice warm water would most likely soften it enough to get it off.
You can make a shoe for the little foot here is info. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/duckling-was-born-with-turned-in-and-curled-feet.983116/
Def keep the water nice an warm they can chill really quick at their age.
When in the water does it move the leg good. If an injury it may have even happened in shipping it's easy to over look this when picking out ducklings at a feed store. Hopefully warm water therapy and time along with the...
Do think this could be an injury? I'd place in some nice warm water and see how the little one uses the leg. Just up to top of legs for starts. Also having water therapy 1X a day can help too. The Liquid B complex can take effect right away or can take up to a week just depends on the...
