    Prolapse , please any advice

Great news she’s doing well! Hopefully with this break from laying everything heals up and all back to normal for her going forward . The appetite thing will come back. I noticed with Duds the first little while after an implant she loses it too. Even for peas which she is usually like a crazy...

    Prolapse , please any advice

I know they’re such a worry when stuff like this happens. You did everything right though so most likely a good outcome. Keep us posted how she’s doing .She should start feeling back to normal in a few days.

    Prolapse , please any advice

Well that’s great she didn’t prolapse. Fingers crossed no more eggs for a few months now anyway so she has time for everything to heal up. Dudley has taken 2 days sometimes to stop laying after an implant and she’s always tired and quiet for a day or two after so that’s totally normal.

    Prolapse , please any advice

This is the same thing Dudley’s vet prescribed her. 1/4 of a 250 mg tab twice a day for 2 weeks if you think it’s necessary. If there was any bleeding whatsoever I would just to be safe. You can buy this online and I’ve seen it at tractor supply. Keep us posted how she’s doing . Hopefully fast...

    Prolapse , please any advice

That’s great you got her the implant. Sometimes it takes a day or two to kick in so keep checking her abdomen to see if she has an egg. The dose Dudley is getting is very small and only lasts 2 months. I’m working on that with the vet. When she gets hers she’s only a day feeling under the...

    Prolapse , please any advice

I wish I'd have found this group before all that happened with Dudley because I probably would have gotten the help she needed and it wouldn't have got as bad. You're right, I love this group and have already learned so much in my short time here. Everyone is so nice, very knowledgeable, and...

    Prolapse , please any advice

With Dudley, it was about a week after the cloacitis subsided , she developed another discharge (it was different than the cloacacitis) that would stick around her vent and it was trying to close off her vent. That's when I found the vet that would see ducks (she was a farm vet without much duck...

    Prolapse , please any advice

Just watch her close that she doesn't develop an infection. I have one that had cloacitis and ended up prolapsing. I got her healed of the cloacitis and the prolapse shrunk back down (I used epsom salt soaks and Preperation H for the prolapse and Monistat for the cloacitis) but about a week...
