Not a great image--I wanted to let her chill out after the injection, which she was not happy about. the orange hue is from the iodine I used this AM (it was the only thing I had on hand).
I was able to get Penicillin G and Microcyn for poultry at Tractor Supply. I gave her 0.25cc intramuscularly and cleaned the wound with microcyn and applied a triple antibiotic cream. She's really listless.
A small possum dug into our coop at 3 am this morning. It killed one of my 12 week old pullets and maimed another. She has several deep bites on her tail. Of course it's Sunday and the vets are all closed, but is there an injectable antibiotic that I could get at Tractor Supply, like Durvet...
