    might not have to be ears, could just be mites around the head - those tricky SOB's tend to go where its hard for animals to get rid of them - one reason why fleas like the top of the head and around the neck. time to spray to make sure!

    don't know, but the head shake is fairly regular. Hen in hen house, no issues with other hens. thought it ight have been from the stress of the egg binding... but it will probably be due to mites...

    Chicken, OK. and back in the hen house. No laying of eggs - that's ok with me! Interesting eggs-u-date - reminds me of a yeast infection but it's below the vent and stuck on the skin. got rid of it, but it was interesting texture.. YUCK. any thoughts??
