I had 3/10 hatch all boys in august! They are growing strong only one seems a bit smaller than the others. My 2 girls are close to 8 weeks old now and are doing great. Can’t wait for spring to start growing my flock.

I wonder if the warmer weather has anything to do with hatching more cockerels? I read an article not long ago that said cockerel eggs don’t do well in lower temps. I just wonder if maybe the pullet eggs do worse in hotter temps. Meaning they just don’t hatch as well if kept at a warmer temp...

I started with some eggs from eBay seller antiqueauction. Had 9 hatch out of 11 that went into lockdown. Ended up with 7 boys and 2 girls. Just ordered more from skywalker2136 and he is sending them early next week. So hopefully I will have some cousins to. 🥰😀
