Yes it is for right now didn't know it wasn't safe that's why I put them in the coop at night during the day we are in and out of the house so the night time is what's scary for me I have been putting the rooster in at night though.

Thank you so much I did not know that I live on 23 acres in the woods pretty much we have had 3 Hen's taken by snakes so I am going to have my husband add the hardware cloth.

We had to make some changes we had a couple of snakes get in when they were a little smaller and they ate 3 of my hens they came in the coop I've never had a predator come in the run we have it completely closed in with chicken wire

Thank you so much they have a light I bought a little push LED and my husband does plan to expand the coop he has a pretty big spot to him self I just got him last month from a friend so I'm not sure if he stayed in the coop or in the run.

My question is my rooster is 4 months old and my Hens are 3 months old and my rooster wont go in the coop on his own at night he stays in the run is it safe for him to stay out all night?
