    I agree. Plus, there are so many adults out there that need homes. Ducklings in stores will all get homes, but the ones who need adopting may not. Plus, like @Duck mommy 2019 said, you don't want to risk getting a male. I would adopt, Craigslist is a great place to look!

    She won't expect a duckling right away. You will have to let the baby grow up before you can introduce the two. Of course, you can still do it, but jus thought I would bring that to mind.

    Not all of them. Some will, but as long as they are fed well, and they have a place to swim, they probably won't need clipped wings.

    For duck tips- - Always make sure she has a tub or bucket of water that is at least deep enough to dip her fun head in. IMO, happy ducks, need a pond or pool to swim in. It isn't necessary, but they do need to be able to dip there whole head in the water. - I can't think of anything else right...

    I have heard that Mazuri waterfowl feed is the best, Purina flock raiser, or duck pellets is also great! Just see what you local TSC or feed store has available for duck food. Great job taking her in! That is so great! She is going to be much happier in your care!

    You shouldn't mix the feed with scratch. Scratch takes away form the diet and really isn't that good for them in large amounts. They eventually wont eat food without it, and it overall does way more harm then good.
