Eggs laid at altitude are naturally more porous to allow for air diffusion at lower pressure. A couple thousand feet doesn't make a huge difference, but 5000 does. It also messes with humidity loss during incubation.

I think this guy is such a pretty rooster, 24 weeks old. He is very alert, eyes always on the sky as seen here. He has shown absolutely no aggression yet. Just wish I'd managed to hatch some females!
