A dog crate has so many uses. I use it as an easy way to create a barrier in the coop when adding new members to the flock. Great for when an animal is sick. Easy way to seperate animals out for processing the next day. Great for bringing home new birds in...
It also collapses nicely. I used it for a duckling play area while cleaning their brooder, before I got it set up outside. I would collapse it and push it to the side when not using it. So it should store nicely during the winter and not take up a ton of space.
