Most chipmunk colored chicks can be sexed....... at least brown leghorns can.. I think it translates to all chicks with that down pattern.

Watching how they act is better than any temperature guide. Happy chicks, under the correct temperature heat lamp will be active and making happy chick noises. When they sleep they should be in a loose ring. Middle of ring empty where it is too hot, but that too hot spot should be small...

I would give her fake eggs... put the eggs in the incubator for over night.. Then in the morning, if she is sitting tight, give the eggs back to her. Good luck!
