I know chewy has it. However, it’s about 10 dollars more to order on their site for delivery. I’m not sure how far their reach goes. I think a local bag here is around 20-22 bucks in Ohio per 50lbs. I use their goat feed ( for my goats) and like it. I agree they are really valuable and hope you...
I mean I switched feed and went from no eggs to 15-17 a day but I have 35 chickens. With your size and output I would consider feeding whatever you have. The loss of cost on bag of feed is more than eggs cost at store compared to what you are getting to offset it. Silly to leave it sit. IF there...
Absolutely understand that. My parents live in Colorado and it takes them 40 minutes to come off the mountain to get to a PO Box for mail. So completely understand this. Great point!
Fun fact to keep it light … I’m close friends with store manager of TSC even though he knows I made fun of his feed trashing my chickens and he shrugged and said anything is possible. He also knows it’s a joke that could have some truth. Anyways they had their big meetings in Dallas this week…...
Also, have you tried kalmbach feeds? Looks to be more commercial now branching to Michigan and Indiana, but started in Sandusky. Even chewy has it at an inflated price. A few private shops around here carry it. If I didn’t use local mill I would buy it for sure.
I didn’t reply to you… I was making a statement. Getting eggs at a grocery store works why not? It’s sure easier and before the last year cheaper. Some of us on here have chosen to go more off the grid and leave behind the commercial world. Just interesting to me to see such support for a big...
I had this happen to me and change feeds… spoke openly about it and happy I did to a local feed mill. Eggs are piling up again over last week. I don’t have evidence and don’t care. I have eggs and that was my end goal.
