    Well, I actually clipped the feathers short. I was having the same problem with the ends lifting up. I also realized to keep the spread out it was easier to put a thin coat of mod podge down and stick the feather to it, then apply mod podge over it. I holding the feather on and just mod lodging...

    Ok so I am late to this thread by two years but I am so inspired.. These are my first four eggs, but I am sure there will be many more to come. These are eggs from my Rouen ducks. I have found I get a much better hole using a dremel tool to drill the hole. I haven't tried it with a chicken...
