I went to Hobby Lobby and went to the scrap booking department. Here is what I found.. for the "doggie eggs" I found a little package of bones and paw prints to put on the bottom of the eggs to cover the holes. One I had to add a bone as the hole was too big.
I used stickers on these eggs...
I also found that if you have some of these egg ornaments on hand and someone stops by unexpectedly with a gift for you, you can quickly toss one of these in a small box and stick a bow on it and it looks like you had something for them too!
What a wonderful idea!

Oh my gosh I SOOO relate!
I just tell myself it adds to the 'charm' of the egg.
Here I was embarrassed as some of mine look ridiculous. I like that..."charm" yep, mine have charm alright!
Dawn, I would like a better look at the unique tree myself!! Love the ornaments, good for you for improvising and making them 'your own'. Love the bells hanging from them.
Be sure to post more pics of the tree and the baby chicks, I can't wait to see them.

Go back to the very first page, the very first post of Miss Prissy's and you can see how big the holes are. They will be covered up with end caps or if you get them way off center...LIKE I DID..you can still cover them up with most anything. Good luck!
Every time I see new pics of eggs posted here I think oh, those are the best but you all just keep on getting better!! Great job and I love the idea of bells for end caps as well as buttons.

Sarah- welcome to BYC! Instead of posting your nice decorating ideas here on this thread you should make a new post for it so everyone will see it. I'll bet you will have lots of comments and ideas exchanged if you did it that way.
Elizabeth, you are quite the talented young woman! You do so many talented projects! I admire you...and others like you. I still need to get some more blown out, finish a scarf I am crocheting for grown grandson( can't get into the mood) Bake and freeze cookies and have boxes of Christmas...

those are beautiful. All I could find were silver end caps but did take some end caps off old ornaments. I think I like the flat ones better though. I was going to use my glue gun but now think I will wait and get another kind of glue that dries clear and won't leave 'strings'...
thanks for the info. I love the glitter ones. All the eggs are wonderful. Just love the black and gold on the brown eggs, too. The words on the eggs are great!
