I got the Epsom salt poultice, different bottle but looks like the same ingredients. I put on Peter and it has a menthol smell? Is that the Methyl salicylate? I'm assuming it's for pain and this says it's for muscle, joint pain but hadn't thought about menthol and how it might be for ducks. This...

They're all confused lol. I won't be surprised if one of them jumps inside the drinking water bin.... It's big enough to fit a duck, it's happened on occasion throughout the summer and that's when there were pools available 😆

The bread bag bootie wasn't a complete success (nails poked small holes) but was better than no bread bag. The gauze inside his wrap did get wet but not so wet that it washed away all the ointment and the gauze was also still clean vs being all dirty without it. I did find actual waterproof...

I soaked his foot in Epsom salt tonight before putting to bed and treated and wrapped. What's the difference between regular Epsom and the poultice? Is it because of the swelling it looks like there's still bumblefoot? How long does it typically take swelling to go down? I wasn't expecting it...

Soooo... I try to check my ducks feet regularly and upon checking my biggest male Pekin (Peter) I noticed a small scab, dark in color (maybe the width of the tip of a dull pencil) and around it was really swollen. I treated it with a couple spray, antibiotic ointment and put a duck boot on him...
