One night after lockdown the temp dropped to 85 degrees. I was expecting a day or 2 late because of that.

I'm hoping to add 1 roo and 4 pullets from this hatch. Other roos are going in freezer camp.

RIR from my cacklehatchery.com flock. I set 15 eggs, with only 1 rooster and 16 girls I wasn't expecting much. But 13 were fertile 10 made it till lockdown.

I thought I would end up in the nut house before any of them laid. 20 1/2 weeks though. Not really that long but felt like it was 20 years, lol.

I have yet to hatch eggs. Mine are only almost 15 weeks old. Although I do plan on hatching next spring.

Congratulations! I'm still waiting on my first eggs. 14 weeks this coming Monday. Still a few weeks to go for me.

When I was a little girl my grandfather would put those chick's seperate. He always said 50% survival rate. But over half the time the yolk would absorb in a few days and the chicken would live.
