    Sorry that I just saw your latest post, but yes, I think that sometimes happens. I recall seeing pictures where one wattle is blue and the other side may be partially blue. I will look for a similar thread with a picture.

    Let us know how she is doing tomorrow. Ticks can transmit some not so nice diseases, so I would try to treat the coop, possibly with permethrin spray.

    This is what a tick bite can do to the wattles. It can be swollen and bluish, where the tick secretes a blood thinner into the tissue, and it becomes swollen and bruised. You could give a small dose of Benadryl to see if it helps the swelling go down. She should eventually get over this and back...
