Oh it is covered with paint. We are going to shingle the roof. The paint has got to be the ugliest color I have ever seen! Its a spicy mustard yellow.But it was cheap!! Take Care Cristina

I used plywood. The cheap kind!! I got paint that was a mess up at the hardware store. It was $5.00 a gallon thats why its an ugly color! But when you paint that cheap wood it works out fine! Good Luck with your coop! Take Care Cristina
