Hi friends,
Long time no see. I'm looking for someone to take two chickens off my hands. I've been trying to do the indoor chicken thing and I just don't want to clean as often as i have to with them in the house! I'm offering them here first 'cause at least we've met. Hopefully some of you...
We're totally doing CT Chickenstock Summer 2009. If PLreef can't host for some reason, we're using my .9 acres just to aggravate the crotcheties. I don't think there's an ordinance about hosting chicken partays!!!

come on peeps!! the last post was me on the 1st!? don't you know i log on specifically to check on my ct peeps? this posting is getting lower and lower in "my posts." I know it's the end of the school year for many of you, me too....SATURDAY AND I'M OFFICIALLY DONE!!! but come on, post...
layers/broodies are sold. I still have two female muscovies available. I am going to start a petition and get things moving in this town. i just have too much on my plate right now.
Well, it didn't take long. Already got a letter from the town telling me i can't have chickens. donkeyholes.
So, just about everyone is being sold for cheap...b/c I have to get rid of them and b/c i don't know who's broody and who's laying.
$5 per layer/broody: 2 buff orps, 1 delaware, 1...
with this advance notice, the 25th is fine for me. plenty of time to plan...and to know if i have to get rid of more chickens b/c of the crotchety neighbors!!
Yep, they're laying up a storm and i had no idea. lil buggers. and the drake was happily mating every chance he got, once i even caught them in the water when the duck was TRYING to take a bath!!
anyone want to incubate muscovy duck eggs? I pulled them from under the deck and am trying to keep the birds in the coop area (to no avail). I read that when we touch their eggs, they won't sit on them. in fact, now they're going to look for an even more difficult for me to find spot. brats...
thank you Jas. I agree with time to recoup . I thinking summer so that many people don't have school commitments...course i'm taking a summer session course, but i'll manage!!
