Bamboo is excellent for pheasant pens.It gives them hiding places,shade and security.Plus it makes your pens looks nice with live plantings.The only problem is you need to contain it or constantly clipping it so it doesn't take over.Richard Schock in N.C. grows it for green houses.

Just a warning that your males are going to start fighting for hens.You need to seperate soon.That perch is way to small for them.It needs to be at least 4" in diameter for them to cover theit toes properly.Please don't think I am nit picking just trying to save you from losing your birds.

The only birds that require room is a ringneck.There are guilelines to go by but nothing enforced.Well that's in N.H. anyways.Howlands book says that 100 sq ft per pair.Yes their coop has to be fully enclosed.
