Speckled Sussexs are probably the friendliest birds that I have! I also have Orpingtons (blue, black, splash, lavender, chocolate, and mauve), and Easter eggers. I'll have chicks and eggs in the spring.
I have Easter Eggers - however no one is really laying right now. I also have an Easter egger rooster if you'd like him for free! I live in Delanson, but travel to Worcester NY somewhat frequently.
Anyone want free roosters!? Easter egger, lavender Orpingtons, and some smaller game type cockerels. I was planning on putting these guys in the freezer... however the freezer is full and I'm not a fan of butchering birds in the cold.
I planted more today! I've been planting peas every 2 weeks (in succession no replanting). I finally had some pop! The batch planted 2 weeks ago are sprouting. I also got some lettuce, spinach, carrots, and beets in the ground. I have lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussel sprout...
They are day old... but I actually just had someone pick them up. They never last long! I have boxes and can ship, if you're interested in a hatch in the near future.
Anyone want Black Orpington Chicks? These are out of quality stock... I'm headed out for a business trip next week, and really want to minimize the amount of chicks in the brooder :). Willing to make a great deal for some one!
Winter chicks - I'm slightly confused by the blue chick with the red spot on its head.... Hatched out of my BBS pen, I'm curious what it'll feather in as...
Welcome! We are in the area. I'll have blue, black, splash, chocolate cuckoo, and chocolate Orpingtons, speckled sussex, and Easter egger chicks for sale.
I've got chicks in the incubator that are due to hatch on Sunday.
For Sale: We have a flock of Jubilee Orpingtons( one rooster and about 10 or so hens). The hens are just about 10 months old(one is 2 yo, she was our breeder). They are straight from ChickenHill Poultry and extremely nice birds. We just need the room. PM for details. I will try and get pictures...
Welcome to the thread! I'm not sure where you're located but Lutz feed in Oneonta may be able to custom mill your feed. I'm not sure what the minimum is....probably a ton. Otherwise they have the largest variety of grains that I know of locally. You could buy and mix yourself. I know they sell...
What a freaking lovely day!!! :) I'm in love with this nicer weather!!
I kicked the meaties outside yesterday, they survived there fist night without heat. They seem happy to be out of the brooder ... More space sunshine, grass, bugs... The chicken life!
Speaking of brooders. Mine is over...
