Hey from Staten Island! zip 10307
Looking for some fertile eggs for 3 silkie broody girls I can't break. I need them shipped so am looking for someone as close as possible for say 1 dozen. I'm considering all breeds so if you can accommodate me this week please pm me or write to...
Thanks so much! I appreciate the info. Had a couple of bunnies as a child (back in the stome age) but not since. Wouldn't mind having a few pairs of "nicely bred" smaller sized bunnies to maybe breed down the road.. A show sounds like the right place to start!

I never raised bunnies and wonder if having the space I do I pought to study up on it a bit. Anyone got any input to get me started in the right direction? I'd like to have pets, not any used for meat.
I am lying through my teeth....it'll be cooler tomorrow.
I really am feeling bad for you. I wish I could rescue some of your feathered friends and adopt them out down here if even just to give them a fighting chance. What a shame the critters are just getting them all. I wish you better luck...

Good grief not me .......I do all the chores/cook in the early am lately....and am trying to figure out this old house and how to keep it and my clan cool. My garden will cost me more to keep watered than it is probably worth in veggies.

As I understand it.............asian folks use the meat to make a "broth" as there really is NO meat.:<) It supposedly has medicinal/special qualities and is considered a delicacy here. I've not tried it myself so have no first hand knowledge. They have hatchery silkies in the chicken markets in...
thanks! They really are nice and a very thick/heavy glass. No tipping over etc. And they clean up beautifully in a dishwasher machine. I just bought the ball jars for them and and they worked great.

Oh, if anyone needs/wants some really nice vintage, chick glass bases for the ball jars I am selling some under the index listing "Everything else for sale". I am done hatching and have quite a few things I want to downsize here now. They work well with marbles placed in them and no jar in the...

Fast growing shrubs/bushes for quick shade.....that can be pruned in any shape are Rose of Sharon. I adore these hardy shrubs and my yard will be filled with them next year. they don't overwhelm or grow huge.....are fast growing ......and purdy to boot.

What does the watermelon do? does it cool them down?
Well, I think it just excites them to have red food....but I find that they are panting a lot less after they have something cold in their belly. Since they can't sweat to cool their skin (or maybe they can but it doesn't...
I would say so from my experience. It hydrates/cools and theyjust LOVE it and the seeds especially.

Just read it's gonna be about 98 here and humid today again. The peeps will be free ranging today for sure. I'll let them find their own cool spot.
Would they really wade in a small pool?
