The yellow chicks look to be WHITE legbars:) Ive Been wanting to hatch those!! Only time wll tell..tha means my white bresse roo snuck some girls...good thing hes not in there anymore! Then I see pure cream crested legbars...the chipmunk stripe ones..very distinct patterns...I wish I knew...

-21 here:( Hubbie put a heater in the coop last night and it was a balmy 20 in there this am!! Thank goodness...I get real worried about losing tons of birds when it hits -30/-40 and it has many times last Winter!

Well heres the thing...ive only had 1... It was amazing...then it was my mission to get some breeders..which took me a year but I got them..then the roo died ruining my year of butchering..so I had to order freedom rangers this Summer..I fed them the way I was going to feed the bresse..normal...

Feeling so accomplished today!!! Seperated out my bresse into their own breeding pen today..now that the new girls and old are hopefully all laying and the roo showed signs of interest...I pulled them from the group barn!!! Ill give them 3 weeks to clear unwated sperm from the CCL roo and then...

Im so with you Matella!!! I get jealous of people who get to hatch in the winter and have laying chickens by summer I don't have hatch until the end of may basically maybe a little sooner this year will sing on a good note April announced that she's doing chicken stock at her house again...

Yes!!! I made deviled eggs for 3 stops as well as guacamole and chips:) easy peasy! HI TABS My girls are finally cranking out 12+ a day...I will be downsizing some in the Fall when I butcher my bresse...have to get rid of 5-7 non egg layers :(

We have TWC 125$ a month..house phone, cable, internet...internet is slow but not nearly as bad as dial up:)
