About rabies: the information about the lenght of time an animal is actually infectious comes from lots of data on dogs and cats, and some on domestic ferrets. the actual contagious period for infected wild species can be VERY LONG and isn't known. Skunks and bats at least can be contagious...- Folly's place

Concerning racoons; years ago, friends living in Vermontville had an enormous number of racoons one winter--in the barn, unafraid of people, damaging everything. Their neighbor trapped 4o or more! The problem ended when they found and talked to another neighbor who was rehabbing and releasing...- Folly's place

I had a great time Saturday, at my first Chickenstock. Thanks to everyone who arranged it. The food was terrific, and of course I weakened and brought some chicks home! Another meet further north in fall would work for me too. Mary- Folly's place
