Quote: Who stocks DE in Michigan? I can't find any, nor does it seem that any of the stores I go to can get it. I'm in Monroe County but don't mind driving a bit to get some.

Quote: BBS is blue, black or splash. I had to ask the breeder what it meant and I felt silly because I saw it a lot on different forums, even did a search and couldn't find it. I figured I was the ONLY one that didn't know what it meant!

Quote: B/B/S Ameraucanas that I got from Pips&Peeps. After reading all the horror stories about shipped eggs, I'm so pleased they made it to Michigan from Washington State intact! I'll post pictures as soon as I have them out of the bator. Wanna try some Isa/Ameraucanas next? I'll give you...

Quote: Beautiful eggs, and I think it's cute you took a picture of them! Update on my chicks: I got five so far!!! Three in the 'bator and the two that I had given my broody RIR bantam. My husband has been quite the doting midwife while I'm at work.

I did, and a member told me it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours. I doubt I'll get much sleep tonight! How sick is it that I'm almost as excited about this as when my granddaughter was born??

Quote: Hey I have a few bantam cochin chicks if that doesn't work out. Thank you! I love Cochins - I have but one, a white cockerel named Joey who is in charge of a flock of standard-sized hens. I have pipping going on - I can see two beaks and hear some peeping. I'm a bit concerned...

Quote: Thanks so much for the warm welcomes, everyone! Sarah, I feel bad for Rachel losing her pullet. Until I had chickens, I never knew how attached you could get to them and what great pets they are. I just may take you up on a chick if I end up with a lonely one, and I might be making...

Hi everyone, I've been a "lurker" for awhile now, and I'm really impressed with the camaraderie on this board! I have 16 Ameraucana eggs in my 'bator, on day 19, and am so excited to hear peeping and have one pip (especially after my 100% failure in July). I know I'm being a worry wart, but if...

Wow, what a story! I thought ALL bulls were unpredictable? Too bad you didn't get a picture, but I'm guessing a camera was the last thing on your mind. I had a similar thing happen with a neighbor's entire herd of horses (about 10). They all followed one of the horses back to the paddock...

Hi, folks! Anyone near my neck of the woods? I'm in Temperance - Monroe County, just a mere 3 miles or so north of the Ohio line. We are supposed to get 1 to 3 inches but so far it's just rain. I think it said north of the 94 corrider it could be as much as 6 inches! - Suzy
