Where did you get them from? I might be interested.
I'm sorry you didn't get more, but that's a cute little chick. Let me know if you would like to try again. I have a smaller flock now so fertility should be better.
I didn't see the ad, but it's probably not illegal to sell the birds, but only to fight them. Why would you want one if your not going to have it fight you ask? I know a guy that had a RIR rooster that would tear into his kids. Someone gave him a game cock to put in there to dominate that RIR...
If it's anything like the Am Fork IFA they have EE's, RIR, Barred Rocks, red sexlink, black sexlink, and a few others I can't remember right now. I bet they could tell you if you called them. What are you looking for?
Hi Newmarch. I do have an 8 month old BCM girl that just started laying. She is laying a nice #4-#5 egg. Not super dark, but really stands out in a mixed basket. She follows the American standard and has feathers down the outside of her legs. She is beautiful. I would sell her for $25. She is...
The fresher the eggs the better your hatch will be. After 7 days the hatch rate decreases significantly and after 10 days it's not very likely to hatch. I sent you a PM with my email since I don't check BYC everyday. Let me know what will work for you and I'll bring them to work and meet you...
Are you looking for a specific breed? A barnyard mix? Shipped eggs are a trial for the most seasoned veteran. I think you will do much better with local eggs.
I work at Thanksgiving point and would be glad to give you some barnyard mix eggs. I have a BCM roo over sexlinks, lavender wyandottes...
Yes, you would have 100% hatch rate. Most people will not count clears since they are not fertile and have nothing to do with the ability of the user or the quality of the incubator.
If something develops but quits then most folks do deduct that from the percentage even if they throw it out...
Not sure if I posted these here or not. The BCM started laying much earlier than I expected. I have two different lines. Now I have to separate to figure out which one these came from.
Lisa,
I have a nice looking Bev Davis rooster that I purchased from Julie Akers on Bev's recommendation. He has been having a wonderful relationship with my Golden Cuckoo Marans. I wanted to offer a batch of eggs up to you once again for your kindness to me and the Utah thread here. No...
There are a lot of chickens in Herriman. As long as you don't keep a roo you will be just fine. You can keep up to 40.
How much property does she have?
Technically the code says you can have 40 chickens and does not specify sex, but city hall will tell you that they don't allow roosters...
