She looks great! is she alright on size or is she smaller than the Chantecler standard?
Jim-
Her size is alright. She meets the standard for the breed, although I would like to push her size up a litte towards the heigher end of the standard.

I can understand that, I have a friend that shows Seabrights and padlocks all of his cages at shows. Was your rooster the one I heard about on showbirdbid that was at the show in Chehalis Washington?
Must be. That's where I got him. showbirdbid huh? What did you hear about him over...

Will you be taking him to Stevenson in April? We will be there and I was hoping that I will get to see him there
Nope, sorry. Not risking ANYTHING with this boy! He's in a completely 100% predator proof enclosure, and while the Stevenson shows are always great, and I've never seen...
Here is a picture of our trio of Buff Chanteclers out foraging in the rain. They are still relatively young and the cockerels tail is still working on coming in.

We dont have a porch so it's not a problem . Now if I could keep these Beltsville White Turkeys from sitting at my front door pecking it that would be a miracle. We have pens that we can isolate birds into to breed if we so choose to though.

Jim we are getting a couple of eggs a day from our buffs finally. We had them out with our other laying hens and just thought it was the other hens laying. Seperated them out for breeding and I guess it was them not the other hens, because they have been laying the only eggs the past...
