Tom? I appreciate the offer but do not have room for CCLs right now- I just kept three hens for their beautiful eggs! We finally got some nicer chanterclers, plan to breed them again and have turkeys and silkies coming out of our ears!!! We have a huge order coming from Porters if anyone wants...
I have an over abundance of fertile guinea eggs! They are hatching mostly pied and white, plus pearl and lavender. $20/dozen plus extras! Getting five a day, fertility has been 100%. Anyone interested? Chester County, Coatesville area.
Looking for a home!!!! Handsome well behaved Silkie cockerel out of exhibition stock. Located in Coatesville pa, was asking $50 but I have an unrelated boy arriving this week so willing to accept best offer- $35? Let me know!
We have had a few really serious breeding injuries in the past- we found you need at least 3 hens to a tom, even then they may need hen savers. (jackets/saddles). We have found Vetericyn spray was the best bet fro healing them, did an amazing job. usually when you find the injury its pretty...
We are in Chester County and our last hatches are going in, so will have some available, send me a message if interested, they are $12 each. Birds are from nice round show stock.
glad they made it home safe! Hope they all do well for you! Be careful with smaller boxes as brooders as they can change temp really easily! WE had the older poults picked up today, and the newest hatch goes home tonight- It will seem quiet here for another week before it starts all over again!
I am hatching blue, black, dark partridge, white, paint under white (they are giving me very minimum paint markings at this point) silver partridge (grey), and a couple oddballs- due to paint genetics. I have a really nice blue cockerel, would have been perfect for show but has a "hint" of gold...
For those interested in POULTS! I had someone back out of this hatch (starting today) of about 20 poults, bourbon reds. We are located in Chester County, nearer to Lancaster County, and they are from our exhibition stock birds (took grand champion at pa farm show) please let me know if anyone is...
SO SORRY ERYAN! I would start by asking them to keep dogs contained or next time you are calling animal control! They should at least offer to repay you for the value of a laying age bird, that nevers covers the emotional cost but its a start.
I will have to do a tally, we MAY be sold out for the next two hatches, the second one being on March 7th, but I may have some left especially if I have some no shows! I will have a better idea by this friday as the next hatch is due, and we will count the remaining eggs in the incubator. I will...
For the none-facebookers...
For those of you in PA who can pick up in Coatesville PA< feel free to email me about Bourbon Reds, we have nice stock that wins every time we show, they are friendly, get large and round and are well loved here! We are also hatching exhibition and pet silkies...
We are in Coatesville and have babies hatching in another two weeks, I am on facebook, message me on our farm page, Hacker Hollow Farm and I will see what we can work out!
We have tried a few other heritage varieties and the Bourbons were obviously our favorite, very docile and friendly. Ours free range daily and are easy to handle.
