    Out here in Pittsburgh, PA. My Roo Mitchell and his girls down in the valley watching me as I leave. They really are enjoying free ranging. I will be separating the roos from the hens. They should start laying soon, they are 17 weeks old now. I am looking forward to my first egg!

    I talked a few days ago about concern for one of the chicks coughing. It turned out to be my biggest chick "Big Sammy" learning how to crow. I was able to get one on video. It is so funny watching them grow up They are now almost 7 weeks old. This was yesterday morning.

    Sharing my three week olds just being chicks! I love em. They are in a brooder consisting of two 50 gallon containers connected to each other. This is the left side and the right side has heat lamp, water and more food.

    Ya know, my girl is fixated on the chicks...She has been really gentle...I have only one problem...she licks their butts then wants to lick me.... I know, Rocco sniffs their toes, butts and beaks(for now)! He loves watching them while I clean their brooder.
