After cleaning off the coops and getting all the birdies situated with things to do. AND of course chasing the dogs all over God's creation. I am now dripping wet next to the fire... and they are napping.
I use to be groused out by stepping in chicken poop and now i just brush it out with my hand when it is in my egg boxes. plus i step in in sometimes on purpose
Ever since they went broody they have always been in the same nesting box so I figured they wouldnt mind the same box. They have two Heritage Delaware, three light Sussex, one easter egger and I just slipped two quail eggs under them for fun.
I started a lettuce mix which is doing well... now that I have a light on it... The herbs I started at the same time have yet to show any results along with the beets..... I am over zealous for spring I think...
They sound like a pretty amazing duck to keep. Do yours like to swim? I have 3...
Are you looking to hatch them? I have been looking at ducks for some time and I like Muscovy ducks the most so far. What are your thoughts on them after owning them?
