Hey everyone,
Anyone know if the Delmont TSC swap is still on for tomorrow? Was curious if they would start cancelling the swaps here with the H5N2 outbreaks looming overhead.
Thanks!
Haha yeah! Those ones. I think I'm going to start hatching more for swaps and stuff. I didn't know people would even be interested in them.
Also that whole thing today was really cool. It's nice to see a bunch of people all interested in farm stuff come together for a local event. Everyone was...
Hi again from Apollo,
Did my first hatch of shipped eggs and it went terribly. Half of them got scrambled in the mail and they all had wonky air cells. None hatched. :s so if anyone is hatching wheaten or blue wheaten ameraucanas, I'd love to get a few.
Thanks!
Hey PA peoples! I started hatching recently and had a 100% hatch on seven eggs. Now I've got four little porcelain bantam cockerels left that I'm looking to find homes for. If anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be, let me know! Thanks! For reference, I'm near pittsburgh.

Out of curiosity, if you bought a pair of these $5000 chickens, how much would you sell chicks for?
The color is positively gorgeous and I wish I was one of those wealthy people who could afford these crazy-expensive chickens.
I just saw a cat get hit by a car out in front of my house. It's still alive, but its leg looks dislocated from the hip, or broken. She crawled under a parked car and we can't reach her. Do you guys have any ideas? We tried to call animal control, but every shelter or whatever in our area is...
I thought Cream Legbars were pretty rare. Doesn't 75 for a trio seem cheap? Or am I just too new to chicken prices?

One of our 10 week old chicks popped a layer squat yesterday when I was petting her. Do fledgeling roosters ever do that, or is that a solid hen-only thing? I want to know if I can count on her being a girl.
Errrr...isn't that what they're called? Or is there some other terminology for abnormally small eggs?
This egg appears to be normal...just super duper tiny. It's hard-shelled with little extra flakes of calcium on it. My mom thinks it's too cute and doesn't want to crack it open, but I want...
Hey everyone, how's it going? I had surgery to get my wisdom teeth out today and spent the afternoon sleeping and then chowing down on old people food while the Novocaine was wearing off.. except I have the appetite of a growing boy and couldn't resist eating some Arby's. Hope I don't regret it...
Welp, I locked everyone inside the coop for the night since there's a flash flood watch for Armstrong county and a bunch others. Can't have my young pullets washing away. They've been hanging out with the big girls for the past few days in the run and the little ones still get a peck every once...
With those impending storms, I think we're going to get the teenagers into the big coop tonight, since their little grow-out tractor pen would probably blow away. The big girls are pretty tolerant of them now, after having the young'uns in the run for nearly a week. It's in need of a good...
I managed to wear down my mother and got three bantam chicks from the feed store! No names, yet, since they're straight run and I'll have to give up the roos. I can't get over how tiny they are. I can carry all three in one hand! I think you guys were right and these are porcelain d'Uccles. And...
Went down to the feed store today to look at the bantams. Saw some clean-legged ones that looked like they might be golden Sebrights and a mystery white chick. Then they had a whole slew of pearly colored feather-legged bantams that might have had small cheek puffs. I forgot to look at toes, so...
