I've also heard that Delawares are more heat tolerant than most, which is why I'm looking for them (I also couldn't deal with ugly naked necks!!!). Are you sure you are not dealing with parasites? Chickens are great at disguising illness until it's too late.

Hey folks, I'm looking for Delawares in GA/SC. They don't need to be particularly great strains, I'm just hoping to avoid ordering from hatcheries. I don't have the resources/supplies to hatch my own but would happily buy chicks, juveniles or adults in the southeast.
